Repair Approval and Estimates

  1. The repair will be carried out only for parts that have been approved by the customer. If additional repair is required, the price estimate will be communicated to the customer via phone call.
  2. In the event of any Laptop or Desktop component being replaced, the previously used component becomes the property of Deskdecode, which retains full authority to either discard it or offer it for sale.
  3. Though pick-and-drop services are free, a charge of Rs 300 per visit will apply if multiple appointments are made for pick-up under the pretext of obtaining a free diagnosis without opting for our repair services.
  4. The decision to have your laptop repaired, along with the transmission of your approval or disapproval to avail of our services, must reach us within a week’s time.
  5. The official receipt of approval for repair must be shown when collecting your laptop.
  6. Deskdecode is not responsible for the loss of data and cannot be held accountable for the same.

Submission and Collection

  1. Deskdecode holds no responsibility for laptops that are not collected within 15 days of submission, whether in the case of non-repair or repaired laptops. Customers must take the initiative to claim their property back.
  2. In case of any emergency, customers can contact the officials and request to keep their property. However, after a month, the customer will be liable to pay INR 100 per day as rent to keep their property at Deskdecode’s professional space.
  3. Deskdecode has the right to dispose of laptops that have not been claimed after repair. Owners are responsible for collecting their property after the given date.

Customer’s Responsibility

  1. It is the responsibility of the customer to check their laptop for any dents, scratches, or damage before handing it over to us. Deskdecode is not responsible for the displacement of parts of the laptop that were taken into our possession at the time of submission.
  2. We take all necessary measures to keep your property in the same condition as it was submitted. Customers must sign over their property for later identification. The sole responsibility lies with the customer to check their laptop at the time of submission and collection.

By Deskdecode

  1. Deskdecode is an independent service provider that deals with the repairs of desktops and laptops using high-quality spare parts.
  2. All warranties are covered only by Deskdecode.
  3. All goods are delivered against receipt of payment, either online or offline.
  4. Parts replaced by Deskdecode will become the property of Deskdecode.
  5. Defective parts replaced during the warranty period will not be returned to the customer.

Payment Terms

  1. The cost of payment will be determined by the service rendered.
  2. An estimation of the total amount chargeable will be provided after diagnosis.
  3. Payment can be made in both online and offline modes.
  4. Taxes apply to all our services.
  5. Once your device is repaired and ready to be collected, payment must be made at the time of collection.

Warranty Terms

  1. A one-month warranty is extended for:
    • Motherboard repair
  2. A three-month warranty is extended for:
    • Motherboard replacement
  3. A six-month to one-year warranty is extended for:
    • Laptop batteries
    • Laptop keyboards
    • Laptop trackpads
    • Laptop screens
    • Laptop display panels
    • Laptop Wi-Fi cards
    • Laptop adapters

Conditions Excluding Warranty

  1. Battery:
    • In cases of excessive or overnight charging.
    • In case of swollen batteries.
    • When charged using a non-OEM charger or adapter.
    • If the battery is burnt, it will be considered physical damage, and Deskdecode is not liable to offer any warranty.
  2. Speakers:
    • Warranty on speakers cannot be claimed if they produce distorted or buzzing sounds. The customer is liable for such damage.
  3. Warranty Stickers:
    • Deskdecode places its own small sticker on the back of the laptop. No warranty can be claimed if the sticker is removed or damaged.
  4. Other Criteria:
    • Additional repairs outside the approved repairs.
    • Accidental breakage and damage.
    • Water damage.
    • Pressure damage.
    • Exposure to extreme conditions or negligence by the owner.
